Working With Concurrent Disorders

 

The following types of services come from the traditional streams of service – either mental health or addictions. However, through CDSS, concurrent issues (both mental health and addictions) are handled together:

  • Case management, including orientations of homelessness, harm reduction, justice, First Nations and settlement
  • Clinical counselling
  • Conflict resolution
  • Housing application, intervention and support
  • Housing units (limited)
  • Psychiatric consultation – inpatient, outpatient or on site at Fred Victor Centre
  • Primary care (includes access to a physician)
  • Mental health and addiction stabilization
  • Residential addictions stabilization – men, women and youth
  • Residential addictions treatment – women
  • Recreational day program – women
  • Withdrawal management – residential and day
  • Safe beds
  • Specialized consultation – psychiatric, addictions, youth and mental health
