Concurrent Disorders Support Services (CDSS) serves the area of the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), in downtown Toronto.
- It receives referral from any worker of a partner agency (but not a community or client source).
- It provides urgent, but not emergency service.
- It provides a range of short-term, quick access, CD-knowledgeable services.
- It allows immediate re-application by the same client, once the file is closed.
Eligibility
CDSS serves:
- Any gender, age 16 and over
- Presenting symptoms or diagnosis of mental illness and
- Difficulties stemming from substance use
- Complex situation, such as homelessness, no/ low income, medical issues, disability, trauma, limited functioning, legal issues
CDSS does not assist with:
- Addictions other than substance abuse
- Formal court proceedings or requiring a forensic specialist
