This website is directed to practitioners providing service to persons with a concurrent disorder, focussed on the interaction between mental health and addictions.
The website includes material on:
- The topic of concurrent disorder.
- A network of partners, collaborating on a range of services to serve persons with a concurrent disorder. This partnership is called the Concurrent Disorders Transitional Support Partnership.
- An initiative of the partnership, called Concurrent Disorders Support Services (CDSS), which operates in downtown Toronto.
This website is organized to include “micro-sites” of participating partners, focused on working with concurrent disorder. CDSS manages the CDSS and partners’ micro-sites. Partners may provide links to their parent organizations’ websites, which are outside CDSS and its website management.
In 2009, Concurrent Disorders Support Services will develop a new site directed to persons living with a concurrent disorder and their families.
It also is experimenting with a small (10 agency) community referral. Other than these specific, non-partner agencies, CDSS draws its referral from partnering agencies only.
